Antalya is quite rich in terms of underground water resources compared to other provinces. The region, which has a hot climate in summers, constitutes an important part of underground water resources due to heavy rainfall in winter months.
It can be said that it is sufficient for greenhouse farming and normal agriculture. So, what are the underground water resources in Antalya?
Names and characteristics of known underground water resources in Antalya;
- Kırkgoz Water Source: The source originating from the Taurus Mountains is known as a very important water source for agriculturalists.
- Gur Kavak Water source: It is also known as the oldest water source feeding the center of Antalya. The exit center is within the borders of Düzlercami national park area.
- Mara Water Source: The water source in the Konyaaltı cliffs region of Antalya is still supplied to many households and meets their needs.
- Dur Alililer Water Source: The spring near Dur Aliler village meets the needs of agricultural lands.
- Pier Water Source: It comes from the area known as Antalya's famous marina. The water source next to the mosque is actively used today.
- Hurma Spring: The water of Hurma Spring, located on Antalya's Kemer road, is of very high quality. However, with the increase in construction and buildings, the water source has almost disappeared.
- Arapsuyu Water Source: Located in Konyaaltı district of Antalya, Arapsuyu is the closest water source to the seaside.
- Bogacayı Water Source: The water source located in the Bogacayı region is used as drinking water.
- Duden Waterfall Water Source: The water source located under the area where the famous Duden waterfalls are located is still used today.
